By using The Toolshed you agree to these terms. They're written in plain English on purpose.
What you're buying
When you purchase a tool, you're buying a perpetual licence to use it. You pay once and can use it for as long as The Toolshed exists and the tool is available. No subscriptions, no renewals.
Free trials
Paid tools can be used three times before purchase. After that, you'll need to buy the tool to continue.
What we promise
- The tools will work as described
- Your files are processed locally in your browser and never sent to our servers
- We won't retroactively remove access to tools you've purchased
What we don't promise
The Toolshed is provided as-is. We can't guarantee the site will be available 100% of the time, or that a future browser update won't break something. We'll fix issues as we find them, but we can't offer formal uptime guarantees.
Refunds
Because these are digital tools and you can try before you buy, we don't offer refunds as a rule. If something is genuinely broken and we can't fix it, reach out and we'll work something out.
Acceptable use
Use the tools for legitimate purposes. The trial system exists so you can make sure a tool is worth five dollars before buying it — not as a puzzle to be solved. If you're going out of your way to get around it, you already know you're doing something you shouldn't be. It's five dollars, and there's a human on the other end who built this. Please just buy the tool.
Also don't process files you don't have the right to use.
Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. If anything significant changes, we'll update the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, The Toolshed is not liable for damages arising from your use of the site or tools. In the worst case, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the tool in question.
